I bought a house in Jan. 2006. It is a big undertaking, but I do love having a house!! I feel like I'm actually working towards and paying on something that is mine instead of throwing money away on rent. Tending my gardens and keeping my house looking nice is something I really enjoy!
My living room
These are pictures of my back yard and some of my flower beds. I love my Lilac bush in the corner of my yard! Its one of my favorite things in the spring!!The pictures below are from around Christmas time. I absolutely love hanging out in my living room with a big fire burning in my fireplace! That is the best, coziest feeling in the world!!

I usually put up two Christmas trees. One in the living room and a really big one in the dining room. There's nothin' like Christmas time in an old house with a woodburning fireplace!! :)

wow, your house is gorgeous!! You have a big old house too. Our house is a bungalow built in 1928 and has a lot of the big rooms with high ceilings and the original Oak woodwork throughout. It also has the french doors and lots of beveled glass that was very much from the times when it was built. I just thought you lived in an apartment somewhere, but you have a fantastic place. I love your landscaping too!! I will have to have you come and help me get mine done. I'm trying to redo it after I get up the picket fence that I got. Did I see picket fence there in your pictures too? If so where did you get it? Love the pictures!!
